With the March 5 round at Siena Circuit, the Tuscany-Umbria Regional Championship has begun. Racing categories include KZ4, KZ3 Under, KZ3 Junior, KZ3 Over, 60 Mini, Mini Rok and Entry Level.
The KZ4 was won by Simone Sgheri on CRG-Iame, who stayed in the lead throughout the final. Second place went to Federico Martini (Wild-Tm) followed by Pierluigi Della Maggiora (Maranello-Tm), while Franco Del Giacco (Croc-Tm) who initially moved into second position finished fourth. Pietro Della Santa (Tony Kart-Tm) placed fifth.
In KZ3 Under (25-39 years, ex Prodriver) Fabrizio Monti dominated on Tony Kart-Tm, winning the Final with a margin of over 10 seconds, also winning the Prefinal and setting the best time in practice. Second place went to Luigi Di Lorenzo (CRG-Tm), while third place was claimed by Tiziano Micheli (Energy-Tm) over Alessandro Cetraro (CKR-Tm). Jacopo Prescendi (FA-Tm) dropped from third to fifth due to a 10-second penalty.
KZ3 Junior (15-24 years, ex Prodriver) and KZ3 Over (40+ years, ex Prodriver) raced together. Andrea Beghè (CRG-Tm) won the overall and KZ3 Junior ahead of Simone Lepri (Energy-Tm). Giuseppe Nicolini (Maranello-Tm) won KZ3 Over.
In the Mini categories, Mini Rok and 60 Mini raced together. Francesco Perfetti (Tony Kart-Vortex) claimed the overall final victory and Mini Rok win. Alessandro Di Domenico (Top Kart-Lke) finished second overall and first in 60 Mini, ahead of Alessandro Pacini (Tony Kart-Lke) who also competed in 60 Mini. In Entry Level, Leonardo Di Domenico (Top Kart-Lke) raced.
Next appointment at Siena Circuit on March 24-26 with the ACI Rally Italia Talent Semifinal and April 8-9 with national categories for the 9th Pacini Trophy, also valid for the fourth round of the Rok Cup Area Centro Trophy.
