Great participation in Siena for the Cetilar Trophy for the ACI Sport Tuscany-Umbria Regional Championship and Iame Series Italy

170 drivers participated in the event valid for the third round of the Tuscany-Umbria Regional Championship and for the mid-season appointment of the Iame Series Italy.

Excellent participation at the Siena Circuit for the Cetilar Trophy on August 2nd in the event valid for the third round of the Tuscany-Umbria Regional Championship and for the third round of the IAME Series Italy at the mid-season point. The intense heat put the approximately 170 drivers present in National and IAME Categories to the test, but the racing spectacle was excellent throughout the weekend, right up to the finals, all fought until the finish line with several surprising outcomes.

Baldi wins in KZ2, Tolfo in KZN Junior

In KZ2, Alessio Baldi prevailed for the second consecutive time, on this occasion over Moritz Ebner. The same race included KZN Junior drivers, where the final victory went to Edoardo Tolfo, while Denis Tuia got the better of Filippo Nuccioni for second place. Andrea Pasquinelli and Nicolas Danesi finished in fourth and fifth positions.

In KZN Under, success rewards Nalon

In KZN Under, Riccardo Nalon, who took pole position in qualifying, eventually won the final but only after Alessio Mordini, winner of the Prefinal, had to surrender to a technical problem with two laps to go in the final race. Behind Nalon finished Andrea Telleschi and Emanuele Denti, while Matteo Dondi and Alessandro Cetraro finished further back. Tiziano Micheli made a great comeback from the last row to sixth place in the final.

KZN Over smiles on De Matteo

In KZN Over, which presented a great starting grid also in view of the Italian Championship on September 13th, it seemed to be in Andrea Spagni’s hands after the Modena Kart driver had expressed himself with pole position in qualifying and victory in the Prefinal. Instead, in the Final it was Claudio Tempesti who immediately took the lead, while Spagni faced an unexpected retirement shortly after mid-race. Tempesti finished with the victory, but due to a 5-second penalty for a jump start, the top step of the podium went to Sebastiano De Matteo, with Tempesti second and Adriano Finocchi third. Paolo Beltramini, Gionata De Mezza and Manuel Marcon also delivered great performances, completing the top six positions.

Simone Sgheri “king” of the 125 Club

In the 125 Club, Simone Sgheri dominated the scene, taking pole position and winning both the Prefinal and Final. Giancarlo Cesaroni got the better of Graziano Scordo for second place, while Claudio Cusumano and Jacopo Pieri finished in fourth and fifth positions respectively.

60 Mini to Venturi. Padoan takes MINI International

In the 60 Mini Final, Valentino Venturi prevailed after losing first position in the Prefinal due to a 10-second penalty. Behind Venturi came Mattia Padoan, who took victory in the MINI International Gr.3. Diego Bertolozzi and Kevin Battiston finished second and third in the 60 Mini, with the latter dropping from second to third due to a 3-second penalty. Nico Carfagna, Antonio Guglietta, Matteo Guidotti and Giacomo Pegazzano finished further back.

Rossi takes X30 Junior

In X30 Junior, the final featured a series of great duels for victory and the other podium positions. Federico Rossi emerged above all, an excellent interpreter of the weekend concluded with victory after taking command of the final from mid-race, helped by a contact involving UAE driver Rashid Al Dhaheri and Giulio Olivieri while they were fighting for first position. In the other podium positions, Rocco Mazzola held second place until the end, as did Ukrainian Oleksandr Bondarev who went on to take third place at the end of a great comeback. In the final stages of the race, Matteo Luvisi and Andrea Frassineti managed to finish in fourth and fifth positions respectively.

Carenini over Villa in X30 Senior

In X30 Senior, Danny Carenini and Edoardo Ludovico Villa made the difference in this third round of the IAME Series Italy. They fought for success in the Final until the last centimeter, with Carenini getting the better on the finish line by 94 thousandths of a second. Daniele Vezzelli also delivered an excellent performance finishing third, as was Andrea Moretti’s excellent comeback, concluded on the last lap with fourth place at the expense of Brando Pozzi.

In X30 Mini, great confirmation for Kastelic

As in the previous Adria round, in Siena too, Slovenian Mark Kastelic confirmed himself as the master of the youngest category, fastest in qualifying, winner of the Prefinal and then author of an impeccable success in the Final. Behind him, both in the Prefinal and Final, finished his teammate Riccardo Guglielmo Nostran, winner of the first Jesolo round. A great comeback rewarded the other Slovenian Aleksandar Bogunovic in the Final, finished on the last lap with third place on the podium, ahead of Filippo Tornaghi and Filippo Sala.

Success for Cavini in X30 Master

In X30 Master, Marzio Cavini won the Final, completing an excellent weekend with his first victory of the season. The Prefinal winner, Gianni Zani, after starting in the lead in the Final too, was forced to the back due to a contact, while Andrea Scanferla who had settled into second place was then penalized by 10 seconds. Alessandro Pandolfi therefore inherited second place in the Final, third went to Alessio Benedetti.
