The battle for the 2020 Regional Championship provided us with incredible races in the National categories.
In KZN OVER, victory went to the dominant CESETTI (MARANELLO/TM), who also set the fastest lap in qualifying. Cesetti prevailed over SPAGNI (MARANELLO/TM), who finished second, followed by GRIGGIO (MARANELLO/TM).
The premier KZ2 class was won by BALDI (INTREPID/TM), who, with a 3.224 advantage over SANI (MARANELLO/TM), took the victory, leaving SANI with the silver medal. MIZZONI (ITALCORSE/TM) climbed to third.
In KZN UNDER, CAREGNATO (PRAGA/TM) took the top spot with victory, edging out his rival MASSATANI (TBKART/TM), who finished second. CECCARELLI (CKR/TM) finished third, finishing on the podium ahead of DALLE STELLE (MARANELLO/TM).
The KZN JUNIOR drivers battled it out, handing the victory to GIANNINI (MARANELLO/TM), who had already secured first place on the grid for the final after an incredible comeback in the pre-final. MARCHETTI (PRAGA/TM) finished second. TUIA (BIRELART/TM) took bronze, completing the podium.
The young drivers in the international 60 MINI battled it out under the sun. CALIFANO (ITALCORSE/TM) triumphed, followed by MIZZONI (ITALCORSE/TM) and FALVINO (ITALCORSE/TM) in second and third place, respectively. In the national 60 MINI, VENTURI (PAROLIN/TM), MIZZONI (ITALCORSE/TM), and IACOBUCCI (TONYKART/TM) secured podium finishes.
The ENTRY LEVEL kids had fun in the sun, handing over first place to LEOPARDI (PAROLIN/LKE), followed by CARRARA (PAROLIN/LKE). CODELUPPI (IPK/LKE) rounded out the podium, followed by CACCIATO and POLLONI.
In the CLUB group, the ModenaKart team took the top two spots on the podium. SGHERI (BIRELART/TM) won, also setting the fastest lap in the final. CUSUMANO (BIRELART/TM) and CESARONI (RIGHETTI/TM) followed.
In the other CLUB group, MARIANI (GOLDKART/TM) took first place. SCORDO (ENERGY/TM) and BIANCHINI (BIRELART/TM) followed.
The CLUB GILERA was also present, with PETRENI (OBERON/GILERA) winning, who also took pole position in qualifying. CERBONI (OBERON/GILERA) finished second, followed by GHINASSI (CRG/GILERA).
The Siena Circuit will host the Cetilar Trophy on August 2nd and the Crete Trophy on August 23rd, while the Italian ACI Karting Championship round is scheduled for September.
